Are there any good free adventure or horror games?

I'm looking for a PC game to download for free... Are there any good adventure or horror games? I'm sick of the same ol' same ol' of fallout 3, cs:s. cod4, and graw2 and all.. I need something to freak me out or immerse me in awesomeness... Don't say left 4 dead, that's not exactly what I'd call horror. Or adventure, for that matter.

1. You can try Fear, but I don't know if it's available anywhere for free. However, you can easily find it for sale for less than $10.
